If you’re a fan of Missha products, check out this giveaway from Frozen Blossoms. Click the link above to get the details. She’s giving away mili lip palettes, sheet masks and trial sizes of various Missha products. I think I’ve shared this on my Facebook page before but I’d like to post about it again so you could see more pre-holiday giveaways from the bloggers that I follow these days.

As with most bloggers I follow, they talk a lot about Korean skin care and makeup products. Check out Senzy’s blog and learn more about them. She also talks about other non-Korean brands so watch out for her posts which also act as reviews. ;)

Definitely reblogging this event for everyone! One of the brands I’ve been using a lot these days is Luview. I even posted about the products of Luview on my blog. I first read about Luview from Shimmerjjang Andhie, someone I met through Tumblr. :) She’s one of the friendly people I met through blogging, aside from dear Karen. Check out her blog for posts about various makeup and skin care products, especially Korean brands like Luview! She happens to be the Power Angel here in the Philippines. Luview calls their fans as their angels (how cute and so sweet!) and to be a power angel means that they’re spreading more information to others about the brand.

In any case, check out her blog for details of Luview’s Mega Giveaway which is happening right now until December 25. Perfect for the holidays, isn’t it? For each country where Luview has Power Angels, there will be 5 different winners of their giveaway. ^_^

For details, click the link above or head to Shimmerjjang Andhie’s blog. Good luck~!

Aside from their wonderful products, you’ll…

Want to know the Korean celebrities’ secret to their picture perfect looks? Look no further because the answer is Secret by Jenny House. The makeup artists of Jenny House have come up with product lines that make you look perfect whether it’s for your big moment or just because you want to prettify yourself. The two product lines are different because the first one is for the luxurious and elegant Cheongdam look. The season 2 products give you an ‘aqua coating look’ that’s good for summer.

If you want to experience what the Secret by Jenny House products are like in real life, just click the link above so you’d view the details of their giveaway. It ends on the 6th of November so if I were you, I’d hurry up and join. :) Good luck!

How long should you wait to throw your cosmetics out? It depends on the type of product.

For any eye products, if you get an eye infection it is HIGHLY recommended that you throw away all products and applicators that you used when you first started showing symptoms to prevent any further…

Her post regarding storing makeup is good, I think. Well, I am such a newbie that I don’t even know these things. XD

rosezombie:

When in doubt, choose brown.

Don’t care for the intensity of black? Opt for a softer brown. The color can’t look unnatural on anyone; even the lightest skin tones have some amount of brown in them.

What to look for: Green eyed beauties may want browns with yellow undertones, those with blue…

Eyeliner tips that I think are useful. Reblogging so I remember them!

Hello Everyone! I know, this review is kinda late. Got a lot of Japanese stuff a couple of weeks ago, I used some of them already and I am such a failure because I haven’t done any reviews on them yet. hahaha~So yes, let me start with lipsticks I am recently raving about. Have you guys heard…

Check out Andhie’s review of Canmake lipsticks ♥ I really love the colors she chose from Canmake’s Melty Nude collection. I am thinking that if I ever get the chance to buy them, I’d pick the peach beige and baby pink ones. They look so great! (Or maybe Andhie just looks perfect with Canmake lippies hahaha!)

I checked out some online reviews and swatches. Another Canmake product I’d definitely want to see in the market is the Canmake Nudy Glow Rouge. The Canmake Nudy Glow Rouge swatches look great too.

Remember that event? It ends on Sept 10, 2011.

So last night, I encountered a post on my Plurk timeline and one of the girls posted a picture of her pretty self. The thread ended up as a discussion on make-up, etc. The topic of eyeshadows and eyeliners came up.

To be honest, I still find it difficult to apply eyeliner on my eyes because of the folds of my eyes. Especially on the left eye. The fold seems to just take over my eyes so it’s so hard to draw a line on the lash line. My Tony Moly eyeliner pencil is a bit light in terms of pigment (it’s a black pencil but kinda looks dark grey or something). I’ve also thought about getting a gel liner so that it stays on for a longer time too.

Well, until last night I was pretty determined to get a gel liner. But the thread reminded me of what another online friend said: eyeshadow as eyeliner. Apparently people do that. They wet the eyeliner brush and then that’s what they use to get some eyeshadow from the container. Interesting? You bet. Also, my new online friend mentioned that the colors don’t need to look too harsh, unless you’re going for a really dramatic effect. Well, I just really want to give the illusion of bigger eyes.

In terms of cost, it’s going to be cheaper and the form factor smaller. Some gel liners have really bulky packaging (Hello, Tony Moly!) so this is something I am willing to experiment with. It’s time to get a primer for my eyes and a nice eyeshadow palette. If this experiment fails, then it’s ok. At least I have an eyeshadow palette and I could go back to eyeliner pencils for the time being. ;)

I am no beauty blogger. Nor a fashion blogger. But I just thought of chronicling my experiences with skin care and other such beauty products. Why? I think I should note what I slather on my face XD It makes sense to do so because I need to keep track of what works for me and what doesn’t.

Anyway, the photo shows the products that I’ve been using.

1. Skin Food Peach Sake Pore BB Cream Shade #2
2. Etude House Mini Size U Pore Powder Toner
3. Etude House Mini Size U Pore Powder Toner (mini — for travel)
4. Etude House Mini Size U Pore Control Emulsion
5. Etude House Mini Size U Pore Smoother Serum
6. Garnier Skin Naturals OilClear Brightening Oil Control Scrub
7. Maybelline Make Up Remover
8. Skin Food Buckwheat Loose Powder Shade #23
9. Tony Moly Berry Berry Magic Tint #1
10. Tony Tint Cherry Pink sample
11. Gatsby Powdered Oil Control Paper
12. Garnier Brightening Eye Roll-On
13. Tony Moly Berry Berry Slim Lip Stick (Pink)
14. Etude House Aloha Two Two Kiss #4 Honolulu Shine Red
15. Nichido Girls Night Out eyeliner (White)
16. Tony Moly Lovely Eyeliner Pencil #6 (Black without sparkles)
17. Tony Moly Party Lover Lovely Eyebrow Pencil #4 (Brown)
18. Tony Moly Natural Pulp Essence Sheet Mask Super Q10

I can’t vouch for all the eye stuff because I am new to eyeliner and eyebrow pencil usage. But I love how Skin Food Peach Sake BB Cream and Buckwheat Powder combined give me that matte finish and my face isn’t as oily either. Plus my skin didn’t break out either.

Of all the lip products, I love the Tony Moly Berry Berry Magic Tint because of the pink shade it gives my lips. It’s something I use everyday because it doesn’t make me look like I’m wearing make up. As for the Etude House Two Two Kiss — I love it especially when I am going out on a date. I feel pretty when I use it. ^_^ Sometimes I use the gloss or tint with the Pink Tony Moly Berry Berry Slim Lip Stick just to experiment with the color. They’re really great that way.

I forgot to include a picture of my oatmeal container. XD Thanks to Bubz, I am now using oatmeal as cleanser. I alternate the Garnier OilClear Scrub with it. So far, so good. I used Cetaphil before but it’s a bit expensive. Oatmeal and Garnier are cheaper. And they’re effective on me. Been using them for two or three weeks now. My friend Nikki told me that oatmeal didn’t quite work for her. So I am crossing my fingers that this will continue to work for me.

Why did I take a picture of these products? I met up with my friend Rjene the other day and she asked me to do this. Lol. I realized that in a span of 2-3 months, I ended up with all these products. I didn’t buy everything in the mall though. The Skin Food products were Ebay purchases. ^^;;
