Disclaimer: My Human Nature lip balm in watermelon was bought in Beauty Bar Greenbelt 5 some time ago. The Human Nature tinted lip balm in Island Kiss was sent to me by their team.

Maybe I should do a comparative review or something? I dunno haha. I could just say that I like them both for different reasons? That would be too simple, I guess. Anyway, here it goes.
The Comparison
Texture
Regular Lip Balm: Quite solid.
Tinted Lip Balm: Solid enough but creamy when you use it.
Waxiness
Regular Lip Balm: Waxy.
Tinted Lip Balm: A little waxy but not too uncomfortable.
Color
Regular Lip Balm: none
Tinted Lip Balm: orangey, coraly
Scent
Regular Lip Balm: watermelon
Tinted Lip Balm: hm, reminds me of chocolate for some reason
Effectivity
Both: Keeps lips from chapping in air-conditioned room for 3-4 hours.
Price
Regular Lip Balm:PhP 69.75 (approx USD 1.60)
Tinted Lip Balm: PhP 79.75 (approx USD 2.00)
Among the lip balms in stick form that I have tried (Chapstick, Nivea, Human Nature), I like these more than Nivea and Chapstick. Granted that Nivea does have tinted lip balms, I never liked the feeling of their lip balms. But I do use them when I can’t buy anything else. As for Chapstick, I dunno. I am just not happy with it anymore because it feels more waxy than anything. The Human Nature regular lip balm feels a bit like Chapstick somehow but at least it seems to be more effective on my lips. With Chapstick, I apply the product more often (maybe twice as often) compared to the one from Human Nature. And I like the minty feel of Human Nature lip balms.♥
For those who want some lip color, the tinted lip balms come in three variants but I only have one with me. Liz of Project Vanity reviewed the Flame Tree variant. I am not sure who has reviewed Pink Orchid but if you have, please feel free to share your thoughts about the product.
Pictures of the Island Kiss tinted lip balm:

That’s the color of the lip balm when you open the cap.

It’s fairly obvious when you swipe it on your hand. And if you have pale lips.

The color is more obvious once you swipe it a couple more times. Kinda like sheer lipstick to me. :)
This is just the first of a series of reviews of products by Human Nature. :) I have yet to talk about the Sunflower Beauty Oil and their Love Minerals blush in Petal Bloom. Which reminds me, I need to write about them too under the series of “Brands that I use” XD
For more details, check out the Human Nature website and/or the Human Nature Facebook page. You could also buy them from Beauty Bar branches locally or via Beauty Bar online.
Here’s hoping that some of you will find this review useful especially now that evenings are a bit chillier than usual. It’s the season ;) Merry Christmas, everyone! :)

I was invited Benefit Cosmetics Philippines’ sneak peek event at their office in Fort Bonifacio Global City earlier. ♥ They have such a cute office! So much pink everywhere hahaha. But there are also cute posters up to market their products. I love their place and it’s called B spot! Lol. And everyone we met today were so nice and friendly especially Aubrey. She’s so cute and perky, just like what you’d expect from a Benebabe and their Chief Fun Officer. ;)
I got the chance to try their products. Marvin/Mamita was accommodating and super nice. He was the one who put the makeup on me. From the makeup remover to primers to foundation, blush, eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara, lipstick and scents! I’d post more details about these products later.
It was a fun afternoon! I had a really great time with the other bloggers and fans of Benefit. :) They have their own Benefit stories to share and testimonies regarding the products that worked for them very well and even those that didn’t. (As to be expected, not everyone has the same reaction to the products but in general, they simply love Benefit!)
I’ve been wanting to buy Coralista and I missed the chance in Singapore. But at least I don’t have to worry now because Benefit will open their shop on December 15, in Greenbelt 5. I think it’s right beside Shiseido. When they open their shop, I plan to get one of their sets first. Coralista will have to wait! (Well, and Sugarbomb too!) But I plan to get Carmella maybe in February because that’s my birthday! :)
I will post more details later. For now, I need to rest and have a good night’s sleep~!
I am so excited for Benefit’s Holiday sets! To be honest, I’ve only learned about the brand some time in July. I was looking for reviews of Etude House products. And I saw other blog entries about other makeup brands like Benefit. I have online and offline friends who swear by the blushes of this brand, actually. Especially Dandelion. :)
One of their products that I’ve been fascinated with is the Benetint. It’s a lip and cheek stain, basically. But people swear by it. Why? Because it gives them that natural looking flush. :) But apparently it has a different use. ;)
I was able to drop by Benefit’s sneak peek stall in Greenbelt 5’s Fashion Walk. They were accommodating and I got to try Bella Bamba. I originally wanted the Coralista but the cute watermelon pink of Bella Bamba is just so irresistible! And it even comes in a holiday set. I think my plans to get a satchel will have to wait. The set called Project Flawless is waiting for me, I think. XD So when Benefit opens their shop on December 15, I’d probably be in line or something. Haha.
Follow Benefit Cosmetics on Facebook. They also have a page for Benefit Philippines. Locals would be updated on the prices, events and other news about Benefit through that Facebook page.
Are you excited for any of Benefit’s Holiday Sets? :) Which one are you interested in getting for yourself?
