Speaking of new year resolutions and new stuff, Tony Moly Philippines has a new promo/event for everyone. :) When you get a makeover and a product from their shop, post a picture on their Facebook wall and say how that makeover or product will help you in ushering a new year and a new you. Prizes include two Crystal Sticks (eyeshadow) and a Petit Bunny Gloss Bar. Good luck to everyone who will join!
Annyong haseyo!!! It’s time for another make-up play! :D Consider this as my early Christmas gift to fellow BlackJacks! ;) And today it’ll be a tutorial on the look of the baddest female Seoul City ever had! Awesome rapper and 2ne1 leader CL! <3
She rocked the stage with 2 performances last MAMA 2011 held in Singapore! She also performed side by side with will.i.am and Filipino pride (kekeke like I’m announcing a boxer) apl.de.ap!
Photo taken from: http://www.facebook.com/2NE1
She looked stunningly gorgeous with her signature black and heavy eyemake!
Her skin looks glowing! Looks like Dara uhnee gave her some Nymph Aura Volumer! :D
Let’s get started!

Etude House Miss Tangerine Palette No. 7; 6. Everbilena Black Eyeliner; 7. Maybelline Eye Studio Black Gel Liner.

I think I’ll go nuts this weekend. :D
I almost lose my sanity because of these post from my two most favorite korean cosmetic brands.
First, from Etude House Philippines’ facebook fan page:
Hello My Dear Princesses and Princes! Visit us this Sunday in Eastwood Open Mall Park as we launch…
Like Karen, I am not sure where to go this weekend ahahaha. XD But the thing is that I have stuff to do for our office event so I’d be very busy in the morning. Plus I need to prepare for an upcoming trip. T^T That means I don’t really have a lot of cash to spare this month and so spending has to be planned so well. (I just got a couple of new shoes because of a wedding I attended, as well as makeup from the previous month’s haul, and gifts to friends who got married recently. And then bills. I have lots of it. T^T I feel poor. Wah.)
So yeah, I was thinking that if I’d be going anywhere, it would be Nature Republic’s opening in SM Fairview. I don’t think I’ve seen an official statement on the Nature Republic Philippines Facebook page yet. I really want to try their blushes, foundation and of course, the Blemish Lab AC BB cream! Plus I read that the prices of their products aren’t bad.
As for the Tony Moly event and freebie — I do want them~! Marge Tan/Kikay Trekkie has good reviews of the Triple Expert BB cream and it was one of the first bb creams I actually wanted to try but I made a mistake when I bought my first bb cream. Ahaha. Seriously. My bad. (I bought an Expert BB cream with Hyaluronic Acid. I didn’t know they had an “expert” line of products in Tony Moly then. Such a newbie, right?) I want to buy some stuff from Tony Moly already and I suppose that everything together will end up as PhP1000 so I’d get a free bb cream to try if ever. *sigh*
The Etude House event is just too far for me. And as much as I like Etude House products like the Mini Size U line, I dunno but I am more of a fan of Tony Moly. ^^;; But I don’t think it’s fair to Etude House though. I haven’t tried any of their bb creams etc. I don’t have much Etude House products that did not work on me ^^;; To think that I also like pink a lot. Why is Etude not my fave??!
Anyway, will just post if I hear/read an official statement from the Nature Republic Philippines page or something. Because I really want to attend their opening in SM Fairview.
I know a lot of people have written their reviews about Tony Moly Berry Berry Magic Lip Tints. One of the more recent ones I’ve seen is by Kikay Trekkie, Marge Tan. This is her review of Tony Moly Berry Berry Magic Lip Tint #3.

My current favorite lip tint!
A quick background about how I came to buying this product:
I had a sample of Tony Tint from the time I bought their bb cream and a lipstick (which I have yet to review!) and as I was using it, I thought it looked too red on me. I went to the SM Fairview boutique and one of the SAs recommended this product. I tested it on my hand and liked the color so I got hooked!
The review proper:
Pigment
It’s really obvious that your lips have color. It’s a reddish pink tint on my lips. It is what attracted me to it. It makes your lips look so pretty and not quite totally made-up, if you know what I mean. And the nice thing is that the color stays on my lips for long. :)

Scent
There is a mild strawberry scent. I don’t mind it. And it goes away after some time. (Or maybe I get immune? Haha!) Other people might mind it though.

Wear
This is a winner for me. I put it on my lips in the morning (before I leave for work) and it’s there until the afternoon. Sometimes I apply it again on my lips after lunch because it’s a little fainter than what it looks like in the morning. But it’s really still quite noticeable even if I don’t put on another layer. My co-workers have noticed it already and they are amazed at how great this tint it.

Packaging
It’s in a little plastic tub that looks simple. It’s not very cutesy, which is fine with me. (I love cute stuff but when it comes to cosmetics, I don’t mind if the packaging is more functional than stylish.) You could easily see how much product you still have because the main container is clear. The cap is secure so this never opens by itself. But being in a tub, you need a lip brush to apply this on your lips. Or you can use your finger but your finger will be quite pink. :P Well, and using your finger to apply this isn’t as precise. It’s a bit of a hassle that way. Also, it makes me paranoid that I am exposing the tint to air-borne germs. But I still like this product despite that.

Moisture
Another thing I love this tint is that it doesn’t dry my lips! I prefer it over Chapstick because of that. But when it’s really cold in the office sometimes my lips easily chap compared to other days so I end up reapplying this earlier than usual. That or I use a clear lip balm. (I use the one by Human Nature now.)

Removal
I use Maybelline’s eye and lip makeup remover for this. You’d see how pink it is on the cotton if you tried. However, removing it is not as quick XDDD Yeah, I guess you could see how long lasting this is!

Price
I bought this for PhP198 or roughly US Dollar 4.55 in a local Tony Moly boutique. I think that the price is decent because a little of this product goes a long way and it’s been two and a half months since I started using it and there’s still so much more.

See? There’s a whole lot of product!
I am not sure how long it would take before I finish off the tub but I know that I won’t finish it even within the next 4 months. And there’s a chance that I will buy this again but it’s either tint #2 or #3.

With that, I say that this product is pretty good. It’s almost perfect for me. :) I can’t help but write something like this because it’s one of the products I can’t leave at home. It’s that wonderful! I usually go for natural looking makeup and this doesn’t have a thick consistency like lipstick because it’s just a tint. So if you want something that doesn’t dry your lips while it gives a great color, I think this is one product that you should definitely try. And make sure you get a lip brush to make applying it on your lips easier and more precise.
I’ve bought quite a number of things this weekend. Payday, you know. XD And well, I needed some stuff because I am attending a friend’s wedding on October 9. :)
My first stop was at Beauty Bar in Greenbelt 5. Right after dinner the other night, I just had to get a bottle of the Sunflower Beauty Oil by Human Nature. While I was there, I couldn’t resist the watermelon flavored lip balm. The reason I got the Sunflower Beauty Oil: I think that my skin might not be reacting well to the Pure Beauty Cleansing Liquid. It’s the one thing that I really changed in my routine. But maybe my skin also got oily because of my period. (Oh hormones.) In any case, this sunflower oil is something like an all-around product but I will mainly use it to remove makeup.

Yesterday, I went to SM Fairview to check out Etude House’s sale items. And I really had to get a bottle of Proof 10 Eye Primer. I ended up getting Peach Water Gloss #5 (Peach Milk) as well. For my purchase, they gave me a sample sachet of the Silky Scarf Shampoo. And I finally got my own Pink card! ♥ I’ve been buying mainly in the SM Makati stall so I haven’t applied for the card until then.

Because I am attending a wedding during the 9th, I might wear a dress and for that I decided to try waxing my legs. I went to Watson’s and checked out their products. They have a honey based product called Nanny’s Rose’s Sticks & Pulls. It worked on my legs haha. They look cleaner now and it didn’t hurt. I would’ve bought the smaller container but it was out of stock. But the price of the smaller one is pretty good at PhP 99.75! :) Aside from this, I also got a powder container where I could transfer my Skin Food Buckwheat Loose Powder. It’s a smaller, more compact package. I am not too fond of the puff though. I wonder if I could make my own puff instead. Oh well. I got it for the form factor anyway. And it’s cheap at PhP 32.75.

Nanny Rose’s Sticks & Pulls PhP 169.75; Nicole Loose Powder Container (small) PhP 32.75
One more thing that I got today is Tony Moly’s Berry Lovely Girl Tip Concealer. I got in a lighter shade because I plan to use it for the dark circles under my eyes. I am a bit worried though that it might be too light so I plan to mix it with my bb cream when I use it.
Tony Moly Berry Lovely Girl Tip Concealer #2 PhP 278
I have yet to get the Maybelline x Hello Kitty Mascara. If there are still stocks in SM Makati when I drop by, I will definitely get one. Ahaha. As a friend said, it’s a crime to not have mascara in my kit!
Annyong haseyo!!! I’m still alive~ It’s been I think 2 weeks since my last review??? I’ve been lurking around tumblr and not been doing reviews… OMO SCHOOL IS COOL~ nyahaa a few more weeks and I’ll be free!!! Sem break here I come!~
As promised from my last Nose Strip Review that I’ll have a
Thanks to Erikajjang for the detailed reviews and this short summary! (Detailed entries are shown as links.) This post is epic. Seriously. Anyway, I have to get a new set of nose strips so the timing is perfect. But I don’t see the Watson’s one that I use here. Hmmm. I wonder which one to try based on this post. XD Any of the top 4, probably, in no particular order. I’d have to check which one works best on me. :)
Do you love Tony Moly? Share how well you could copy this disco diva look on their latest promo. Winners will get a set of Tony Moly products. Ain’t that grand? :)
Tony Moly Philippines is sponsoring a contest on their Facebook page. The mechanics are on the photo. Use atleast (1) Tony Moly product to have a valid entry in the Disco Diva Copycat Contest. Take a photo of it and submit it together with your entry, name, contact number, facebook username and twitter username to feedback@tonymoly.ph :D
I am not comfortable nor confident with this kind of contest so I am still thinking about it, whether I will join or not. But I’d definitely love to see your pictures, if you’re joining. :) Post a comment here or send me a message via my Ask box so I could also see your entries if you’re joining.
I am no beauty blogger. Nor a fashion blogger. But I just thought of chronicling my experiences with skin care and other such beauty products. Why? I think I should note what I slather on my face XD It makes sense to do so because I need to keep track of what works for me and what doesn’t.
Anyway, the photo shows the products that I’ve been using.

I can’t vouch for all the eye stuff because I am new to eyeliner and eyebrow pencil usage. But I love how Skin Food Peach Sake BB Cream and Buckwheat Powder combined give me that matte finish and my face isn’t as oily either. Plus my skin didn’t break out either.
Of all the lip products, I love the Tony Moly Berry Berry Magic Tint because of the pink shade it gives my lips. It’s something I use everyday because it doesn’t make me look like I’m wearing make up. As for the Etude House Two Two Kiss — I love it especially when I am going out on a date. I feel pretty when I use it. ^_^ Sometimes I use the gloss or tint with the Pink Tony Moly Berry Berry Slim Lip Stick just to experiment with the color. They’re really great that way.
I forgot to include a picture of my oatmeal container. XD Thanks to Bubz, I am now using oatmeal as cleanser. I alternate the Garnier OilClear Scrub with it. So far, so good. I used Cetaphil before but it’s a bit expensive. Oatmeal and Garnier are cheaper. And they’re effective on me. Been using them for two or three weeks now. My friend Nikki told me that oatmeal didn’t quite work for her. So I am crossing my fingers that this will continue to work for me.
Why did I take a picture of these products? I met up with my friend Rjene the other day and she asked me to do this. Lol. I realized that in a span of 2-3 months, I ended up with all these products. I didn’t buy everything in the mall though. The Skin Food products were Ebay purchases. ^^;;
